Fall Project Portfolio 

This is my 5th and final draft of this project and what I am using for my portfolio. I had one major problem when creating this draft, I wasn't sure if I should go with black and white or if I should go with color pictures. I ended up choosing color as I felt that the color pictures had more depth and that the colors in each picture were too good to exclude.

My goal main goal was focusing on light, shadow and texture in order to replicat e the work of Corbjin, however I ended up using light boxes and turned it into more of a still life project with the same goals of Light, Shadow, and Texture.

Fall Project Draft 1

Fall Project Draft 1 This week we started our new fall projects. For my fall project I decided to replicate the work of Uta Barth. These pictures are blurry pictures that capture and focus on certain aspects such as color and light. Since this is the first week, I am still trying to figure out the best way to take and edit these. So far I have been using the camera in manual focus and taking pictures like that, as far as editing, I have just been changing the temperature of the pictures. I will most likely keep taking and editing them in the same way, but I will keep try new things.

Cityscapes Portfolio

Artist Statement This set is made up of some of my favorite pictures from the last four drafts of my cityscape project. This pictures have been photographed and edited over the course of the past month. These all share a lot in common, firstly the backgrounds in each picture were all taken from the same spot and they were all taken within 30 minutes of each other. The fact that backgrounds were taken at a similar times means that a lot of the lighting in each picture is the same. The top layer (the face) is also used more than once and many of them are used several times. The pictures were also all edited in the same manner, adding to the similarity.
