Abstracts

This weeks topic was Abstracts, as our first real project of the year there was not much of a process we went through when it came to taking and editing. All of the pictures are posted in black and white as the absence of color adds to the mystery and 'abstractness' of each photo.  One of my main goals for these was to focus on the texture and to use the texture to create the 'abstractness'.

    I like the use of shadows, it makes it more difficult to tell what the subject is.

    I think if you tried to keep the whole photo in focus it could work even better.

    You really made good use of depth to show a texture. Could you have the whole photo in focus because you might loose some good bits.

Final Critique  This is my final post and final critique for the year. Some of my favorite projects from this year have been my winter and architecture projects, however I have also really enjoyed my projects at home such as my nature and abstract projects. This post is made up of a compilation of my favorite photos from this year. This is most likely the least cohesive batch of photos I have put together on a single post, however, I feel that this shows the wide range of mediums we have focused on this year. I also feel like each and every one of my projects has represented a different vibe and subject.
