Final Critique
Final Critique This is my final post and final critique for the year. Some of my favorite projects from this year have been my winter and architecture projects, however I have also really enjoyed my projects at home such as my nature and abstract projects. This post is made up of a compilation of my favorite photos from this year. This is most likely the least cohesive batch of photos I have put together on a single post, however, I feel that this shows the wide range of mediums we have focused on this year. I also feel like each and every one of my projects has represented a different vibe and subject. One of the most difficult projects this year for me was the still life one, as it was something totally different to what we usually do and it took multiple attempts to capture the moment in the way I wanted to. I think it's really cool how each window frames a scene. It's almost like a picture frame. I think the black and white really helps show that picture frame vibe even more. I really like the first one because of how small the window is in comparison to the blank space. I think that that really shows an interesting contrast.
ReplyDeleteI really like how the window frames and shows a different scene and aspect of life. I think it's cool how the outside of the frame is black so the viewer can really concentrate on what is through the window. I think what is trying to be communicated is that we as people should spend more time outside and less in our homes. I think these photos are very calming because of the balance of light and darks.
ReplyDeleteI like how symmetrical the windows and walls are because it contrasts to the image outside. The geometric shapes against the natural shapes play really well together. It is almost like a painting on a canvas, or a photo with a frame. I also think the black and white worked well to draw the eye to the outside world.
ReplyDeleteIn each image, it is very easy to tell what is outside and what is inside giving you an interesting perspective. each image portrays a different world outside one's house which pulls the viewer out or towards the center of each frame. In each photo, you show a different part of the outside world each time which gives a perspective on how the world is very diverse. Each window frames the outside world which makes it very strong and focused.
