Final Critique

Image
Final Critique  This is my final post and final critique for the year. Some of my favorite projects from this year have been my winter and architecture projects, however I have also really enjoyed my projects at home such as my nature and abstract projects. This post is made up of a compilation of my favorite photos from this year. This is most likely the least cohesive batch of photos I have put together on a single post, however, I feel that this shows the wide range of mediums we have focused on this year. I also feel like each and every one of my projects has represented a different vibe and subject. One of the most difficult projects this year for me was the still life one, as it was something totally different to what we usually do and it took multiple attempts to capture the moment in the way I wanted to.    Architecture and Winter Project Fall Portfolio  Still Life

Portfolio This is my portfolio from my most recent project. This is the collection of my best and most cohesive images from the recent projectThis project was focused on abstraction and how I can create abstraction. I used a variation of things such as shadow and texture to create abstraction and used black and white to add to the abstraction.

This week we are finishing the same projects that we started last week. For todays batch I focused a little less on finding shadows and looked for other subjects that help create abstract images. I was looking for texture and how different materials will create stronger texture as well as what lighting I can use to create abstraction.

May 8 This is a new project that is focused on creating abstract images. My goal is to create images with a strong emphasis on shadow and how I can use that to make the images more abstract. The black and white also adds to the abstractness.

Portfolio This is a compilation of the most cohesive and strongest photos from my recent project. This project was based around the nature surrounding my house and how to best capture it. Initially all my photos were in black and white, and taken from a distance, however as I did more and more batches I realized that the following images were stronger due to the color and closeness of the picture.

May 1 For todays batch, I worked on getting closer to the flowers to eliminate most of the background. I wanted to keep the color and the texture strong too, whilst keeping it all in focus.
