For my winter project I decided to copy the work of Joel Tjinjelaar, taking pictures looking up buildings with a focus on light and texture. This is the first week of this project so I am still figuring out the best way to take these pictures. They are edited in black and white to add an emphasis on the texture and the light, Tjinjelaar photographed skyscrapers, however I have only been able to take pictures of the building surrounding Drew.
I like the shapes and shadows that you create using the black and white. Though, I think that avoiding telephone cables might be the the right move as they don't seem to fit in the picture.
ReplyDeleteI think the black and white works because of how symmetrical it looks, It also looks almost 2D sometimes which is cool.
