Fall Project Draft 1

Image
Fall Project Draft 1 This week we started our new fall projects. For my fall project I decided to replicate the work of Uta Barth. These pictures are blurry pictures that capture and focus on certain aspects such as color and light. Since this is the first week, I am still trying to figure out the best way to take and edit these. So far I have been using the camera in manual focus and taking pictures like that, as far as editing, I have just been changing the temperature of the pictures. I will most likely keep taking and editing them in the same way, but I will keep try new things.

Genre Challenge  This week we were tasked with editing two different pictures in 7 different ways,  Horror,  Sci-fi,  Comedy,  Suspense,  Documentary,  Romance, and  Vintage. One of the pictures was allowed to be a portrait, but the other had to be something else. For Horror I wanted to create the idea of death, so I used black and white and add 'crack' graphics in the pictures. For comedy I just messed around on Picmonkey and played with the pictures until I found someone that I thought was funny. For Documentary I used a BBC News template and created a title for the picture to make it look like the title screen for a movie or documentary. For Romance I changed certain aspect of the image, such as the 'red's' and the warmth of the picture and then I added hearts. For Si-Fi I wanted to create an idea of fiction that we wouldn’t usually see today, thus I focused on outer space and added planets to both pictures. For suspense  I added scenes...

Design Portraits 2

Design Projects  This week we were continuing the project from last week which was to create Design Portraits. These were portraits that were not entirely focused on the person or subject of the picture, but also focusing on the texture, light, and shadow of the picture. This week I walked around Divisadero taking pictures of people on the street.
